According to Allkpop, V has just received good news when he officially owns 8.488 million followers and has surpassed boy group Stray Kids (8,464 million followers) to become the 8th most followed K-pop account on Spotify.

V is a Kpop artist with a Spotify account with a “huge” following.

Notably, the BTS member achieved this achievement with only 3 K-drama OSTs (Korean drama soundtracks) posted on his personal account. They are: “Christmas Tree”, “Sweet Night” and “It’s Definifining You”.

He also currently holds the record as the only Korean solo artist to have 3 OSTs surpass 100 million streams (streaming) on Spotify.\

V (BTS), Lisa (Blackpink) and Park Bo Gum (from left) took a photo together in France at the end of June.

While receiving this good news, V also shared the latest about his first solo album in the newly posted Vlog.

He also reassured Army (BTS’s fan community – PV) that their wait will be worth it as he plans to showcase his many skills by exploring different genres of music.

“This time it’s concept design… I mean, there’s so much more that I want to show now that I realize that the album doesn’t have to be a genre. I decided to branch out and try new genres that I’ve always wanted to try, so I’m working on a lot of songs,” said V.

Not long ago, V told Weverse that his goal when producing his first solo album was to make sure every song was interesting and felt like it was on the watchlist.

The male idol wants to be proud of every song he releases, he doesn’t “become one of those people who just release songs even if they’re not happy with them”.

V’s real name is Kim Taehyung, born on December 30, 1995, in Daegu, South Korea. In June 2013, he debuted as a member of BTS with the group’s debut album 2 “Cool 4 Skool”.
